What I work on
I work across every layer of a business application, from the data model through to production. These areas match what I practise day to day, both in my job and as an independent developer.
Back end and APIs
REST APIs and business logic in Laravel, Java 21 / Spring Boot or Node.js / Express. SQL data modelling (PostgreSQL, MySQL), hexagonal architecture, authentication through Keycloak (OAuth2, OIDC).
Interfaces
Angular 21 and Vue.js applications, styled with Tailwind and shadcn. Reusable components versioned as a design system, WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility and low-footprint design.
Delivery and production
Linux VPS administration, Docker containers, continuous deployment through GitLab CI or GitHub Actions, database migrations and automated testing (Vitest, JUnit, Pest).
Taking over existing code
Gradual rework of ageing code bases, fixes in production, new features, and introducing tests to code that never had any.
